In late 1987, two transportation industry professionals, Geoff Byler and Keith Gibson decided to combine their skills and background to offer consulting services primarily to motor carriers in both operations and sales and marketing disciplines.

With combined industry experience of over 30 years at that point, they were able to bring a unique combination of industrial engineering and "street smart" sales and marketing to their clients that earned them a strong reputation for their fledgling company, Transtech Associates.

Not too many months later, in 1988, a third partner joined the company and with him came an idea that several clients in the retail store industry had spawned: the establishment of a transportation entity that could offer competitive pricing on "large mark LTL shipments".

After a brief period of additional market analysis and operational design, a new company was launched - Traffic Management Services, Inc. (TMSI) whose mission was to meet the need of shippers/consignees to move their larger LTL shipments at rates far superior to common carriers and provide better service at the same time.

The time was right and the new company grew quickly from its start on August 1, 1988. Other retail stores quickly saw the benefit of controlling their inbound shipments and liked the simplified pricing and aggressive rates offered by TMSI.

On the home front, learning how to effectively coordinate and control a truck making multiple pickups and multiple deliveries (most with strict appointment times) proved to be very taxing. The variables involved in getting a truck from Point A to Point B were sufficiently complex, but adding Points C, D, E, F, and G exponentially increased the variables on any given load.

The next couple of years were spent designing, redesigning and perfecting an operational system that would eliminate as many variables as humanly possible so that we could deliver smooth consistent service to our customers.

Our entire history has been filled with the constant mission of improving our procedures to provide an ever increasing level of service. After more than 15 years of evolution and improvement, we are "better than ever" at what we do.

In addition to the simplified, cost-saving pricing, customers found our LTL service far superior to others in transit time and in reduced claims cost. Since we did no intermediary handling of a shipment, the chance for damage or loss was significantly reduced, saving everyone involved in the supply chain a lot of time, money and grief.

When customers saw how well we could handle LTL shipments, the demand for truckload brokerage services started to grow as well. Today, we offer multiple services including truckload, LTL, flatbed & specialty truckload and LTL, temperature controlled truckload and LTL as well as custom routing services.

In May 2000, the name of the company was changed to Integrity Logistics. The new name better captures the essence of who we are (how we conduct ourselves in business) and the expanded role we play for a number of customers.

We are determined to add services and personnel as customer demand continues to grow and we find the right people to bring the expertise needed for that service.
