The following short case studies will give you an idea of the different logistics problems we have been able to solve for our customers. Please feel free to contact us for input about your particular situation.
#1
Retail Store Requires Quick Construction Program.
Situation: A clothing retailer with over 75 locations in Southern California decided to put a new department in their stores, requiring custom fixtures from 3 different manufacturers and unique orders for each location - and all had to be accomplished in a 5 day time frame. The deliveries to the stores had to be coordinated with construction/installation crews to ensure valuable floor space was not tied up, and so crews were not standing around with nothing to do.
Solution: Integrity Logistics arranged full load shipments from the 3 manufacturing locations to a warehouse/cross-dock facility in Los Angeles. At this facility, we picked 75 individual store orders from a total of over 100 different items and used 5 local delivery trucks (lift-gate equipped) to meet construction crews without any significant late deliveries and well within the budget for the project. We provided the customer one invoice for the entire project.

Manufacturing Company Needs Help with Cost Analysis.
Situation: An international power plant boiler manufacturer was trying to decide which plant to use to manufacture parts for a new power plant in Wisconsin. Because of the size of the pieces to be transported, it was initially assumed that their plant in Europe would have to do the work and a ship would be chartered to deliver to the customer site. This method created tremendous cost and difficulties for the construction location as all parts would arrive at the same time.
Solution: Integrity Logistics personnel met with engineers and production managers from both European and US plants for a two-day strategy meeting. In reviewing blueprints for the parts to be shipped, we were able to make some workable suggestions that made transit much easier, introduced some barge/over the road combination moves and were thereby able to demonstrate a tremendous savings on transportation costs as well as provide the scheduling at destination that better met construction requirements. Most manufacturing was shifted to the US.

Major Retailer Seeks to Save $ on LTL Shipments.
Situation: A major retailer with 14 hard goods distribution centers in the US realized that despite having put several pool consolidation points in place, they could be saving even more money by putting together their own direct, consolidated truckload shipments. Being understaffed, they didn't have the hours or the people with the expertise needed for the project. They didn't want to wait the approximately 2 year period they projected would be required to purchase and implement the Manugistics system that would automate this process.
Solution: Integrity Logistics devised a system whereby the retailer downloaded their purchase order file each day. Our proprietary software program sorted and segregated the purchase orders and then we contacted vendors with viable shipments to verify PO information and combined shipments into full truckloads for "rolling consolidations" to the DCs. Integrity then dispatched shipments to one of the retailer's truckload carriers for transit. We provided the customer with a weekly report of shipments consolidated and corresponding savings. First year savings on shipments from vendors in a five state area in the Midwest resulted in over a quarter of a million dollars savings over their already impressive LTL rates.

Furniture Manufacturer Reduces Raw Materials Landed Cost.
Situation: An upholstered furniture manufacturer with 5 locations across the US was buying fabric from over 30 mills located primarily in the Carolinas. The shipment sizes varied from week to week, but there was a consistent flow required at each manufacturing location. LTL costs were killing the furniture manufacturer.
Solution: Integrity Logistics set up a consolidation program in Greensboro NC and made weekly pick ups from each mill. At the consolidation point, shipments were segregated by destination and line haul trucks were dispatched to pick up each Friday for delivery to one or more manufacturing locations. The manufacturer cut transportation costs by nearly 50% and transit times were dramatically improved. Integrity provided all aspects of the program on a single CWT pricing schedule.

Food Distribution Company Deals with Seasonal Fluctuations.
Situation: A major marketer of foodservice products was having trouble finding trucks to cover their inbound shipments from certain parts of the country during certain times of the year. Their limited staff was unable to keep up with the demands of the volume fluctuations. Solution: Through our vast network of quality carriers, Integrity Logistics has been able to not only meet many of those seasonal fluctuations (for over 20 of their locations) but we have been able to provided dedicated carriers to handle many regular lanes that have been difficult in the past for the customer. Time savings at each of the 20 locations is substantial as Integrity has removed the burden of finding so many trucks under difficult and demanding time constraints.
